WHAT ARE COOKIES?

A "cookie" is a small data file which is downloaded and stored by your browser on your computer or mobile device.

Your browser accesses the cookie file only when you visit the website that generated it. The information stored within any given cookie can only be accessed by the website that generated it and cookies are limited to communicating only the information that you have disclosed to the site.

Cookies allow us to recognize your computer (but not specifically who is using it) when you enter www.underarmour.eu by associating the identification numbers in the cookie with other customer information you have provided us. That customer information is stored on our secured database.

Cookies allow sites like www.underarmour.eu to deliver you a personalized shopping experience. Another way to think about cookies is as a “memory” for the website, so that it can recognize you when you come back and respond appropriately.

Cookies are not dangerous. They are not computer programs and cannot be used to circulate viruses.

HOW DOES UNDER ARMOUR USE COOKIES?

The use of cookies is standard Internet practice and most major websites use them. www.underarmour.eu uses cookies to provide you with the best user experience possible; without them we wouldn’t be able to do things such as remember your preferences or enable you to store products in your basket. The cookies we use don’t store sensitive information such as your name, address or payment details and they can't harm your computer.

The data we collect through these cookies is solely for the purpose of enhancing our website and your browsing experience – it is never used to identify you and we would never share or sell this data.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF COOKIE AND WHAT DO THEY DO?

There are different types of cookies. We only use the following cookies that we think are necessary and helpful to you

Strictly necessary cookies: these are cookies that are required for the operation of our website. Without them, for example, you would not be able to register or log in for any services that we may offer.

Analytical/performance cookies: these cookies allow us to recognize and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our website. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily and do not encounter technical errors.

Functionality cookies: these are used to recognize you when you return to our website. This enables us to personalize our content for you and remember your preferences (for example, your choice of language or region).

Targeting cookies: these cookies record your visit to our website, the pages you have visited and the links you have followed. This helps us to provide a website and deliver adverts or messages that are relevant to you and your interests. We may also share this information with third parties for this purpose.

Interaction cookies: because we are interested in your opinion about our brand and items, we use interaction cookies. These cookies allow us to communicate. For example, these cookies allow you to “like” us ore recommend us on social media.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I TURN OFF COOKIES?

If you turn off cookies, you will not be able to make a purchase from our website. However, you may still purchase online merchandise by calling one of our customer service associates on 0080082766871 who will gladly assist you in placing your order.

HOW DO I TURN OFF COOKIES?

It is usually possible to stop your browser accepting cookies, or to stop it accepting cookies from a particular website.

All modern browsers allow you to change your cookie settings. You can usually find these settings in the “Options” or “Preferences” menu of your browser. To understand these settings, the following links may be helpful, or you can use the “Help” option in your browser for more details.

If you are primarily concerned about third party cookies generated by advertisers, you can turn these off by going to the Your Online Choices site.

For more information you can also visit the website Network Advertising Initiative, which is the trade body representing these advertising platforms.

HOW DO I DELETE COOKIES?

If you decide that you are not happy with the use of cookies on www.underarmour.eu, most web browsers allow you to easily delete cookies by activating certain settings within the browser.

For more information on how to delete and block cookies for your specific web browser, please visit the browser’s support or see the links in How do I turn off cookies?.

WHAT ARE PIXEL TAGS?

We also use "pixel tags," (also known as “tracking pixels” or “web beacons”) which are small graphic files of javascript code that allow us to monitor the use of our website.

The use of pixel tags is industry standard technology used by most major websites. A pixel tag can collect information such as the IP (Internet Protocol) address of the computer that downloaded the page on which the tag appears; the URL (Uniform Resource Locator) of the page on which the pixel tag appears; the time the page containing the pixel tag was viewed; the type of browser that fetched the pixel tag; and the identification number of any cookie on the computer previously placed by that server (please see What are cookies? and How does Under Armour use cookies? for more information about cookies).

When corresponding with you via HTML capable email, we may use behavior tracking technology, which allows pixel tags to let us know whether you received and opened our email. One of the ways in which we use pixel tags is through a third-party service provider to serve advertisements on our behalf across the Internet. They may collect anonymous (other than the IP address of your computer) information about your visits to our website, and your interaction with our products and services.

HOW DOES UNDER ARMOUR USE PIXEL TAGS?

We use pixel tags to customize our web pages based upon purchases a visitor has made; to track (in the aggregate and not in terms of individual website visitors) the number of visitors to the website; the paths to the website; activity on the website and purchases; and to tailor advertisements which appear on other websites a user may visit to a user’s web preferences and usage patterns.

For additional information about pixel tags and cookies and the ways in which we use them, please see the sections on What are pixel tags?, What are cookies? and How does Under Armour use cookies?.
