I was disappointed with the lack of warmth offered. I was expecting more, whether that's fair or not. I've worn them in 20 degree weather wind and 0 degree weather with wind and both times I was cold. I do like the gloves howeve and will definitely keep them.
I needed gloves for below freezing when I run. These are it. Yes, when it was -11F my thumbs got a bit chilly on an hour long run. Theses get a bit warm for running over freezing temps and I prefer a more breathable mesh. Great reflective accents, the glove/mitten convert adds some warmth and wind protection.
So I reside in the Mid Atlantic region of the U.S. Temperatures here have already gotten into the high 20s, low 30s with wind chill. I may add heat warmers to the mitten storage pocket, because my hands get cold especially if leave them out of my pockets. I work outside, anywhere from 8-16 hour days. The finger touch ability to use on touch screens is a bit off, not always reliable so I either take my gloves off or use my stylist. Oh I do enjoy the mitten converter. It kind of helps a little bit to add protection to the cold and wind. The long cuff that goes up the wrist is a plus. Seals, no draft going up arm. Since these were the coldgear reactive model and UA I am surprised by the quality.
I probably underestimated my size so they are snug but still comfortable. Gross - but I like the back of the glove where you can wipe your nose - especially now the weather is chilly. Didn’t like the feeling of the fold away mitts as they felt really bulky. As they aren’t removable via Velcro or zip, I ended up cutting them out with scissors.....felt bad doing this to brand new gloves but they are much more comfortable now. Bit pricey but so far, so good.
I followed the sizing guide and bought the Large. I am 5’9” Athletic built 130lbs. My hand measurement from palm to middle finger tip was 7.5 inches. The large fit perfect. Not tight. Not loose. And anything under 50° i am able to stuff a hand warmer in it for extra toastiness. I am usually outside in the elements for 2-2.5hrs at a time with these gloves on. I live in Maryland USA.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These gloves looks fantastic. I love the concept of the mitten. They run tight around my hand, and long in the fingers. Fit is a little off.
I bought these gloves for my walks to and from the gym. Living in the PNW, where rain and colder weather is common in the winter months, I also wanted some that could stand a little bit of water. These gloves have been great so far. They are not the thickest, so you will not get overly hot in them. The extra hood for the fingers keep extra cold and windy days at bay. They are also screen sensitivity, so you can keep them on while fidgeting with your smartphone. I can not comment on the durability, since I only had them for about a month.
I love the multi use of these gloves. I usually buy a medium and these mediums fit perfect. Definitely keep the wind off your hands when you untuck the hood from the back of the hand pouch. I have arthritis in my hands and the back pouch doubles as a hand warmer holder. Would definitely buy these gloves again.
