I’ve been on the market for a super light weight, flexible, fast drying and professional looking pant for project management in Florida. I ordered from several other top manufacturers to compare and contrast. These under armour pants are amazing. They feel like air, they have zero restriction and they look professional for field management. My only gripe is that they don’t make more colors available.
Disclaimer: I do not wear these for Tactical usage. I bought a couple of pairs of these pants for warehouse IT work, as I wear a hernia belt that doesn't sit or wear well with jeans. I also wanted pants that stretched better than jeans, and the black and the tan colors both look more business-like than blue jeans. I am very satisfied so far. The knees will never be completely flat in the front due to the extra stitching for bending, but I'm okay with that. They are lightweight, and stretchier than jeans. I keep my wallet in the right side pocket, it isn't big enough to comfortably keep my phone, although as I am constantly using my phone at work, if it were bigger, I'd probably not have it in there anyway. It would be nice for another pocket on the left side. I've put the black pair through three wash cycles now, and they are easy maintenance and they looked better after the first wash & dry (de-wrinkle well). I don't think they are thick enough for outdoor winter use without thermals or something underneath, but they seem to handle warmer temperatures better than jeans.
The pants are awesome, the best. On thing need more color then Black and Tan. Please look to this matter, great look awesome fit.
To call pants “tactical” infers they would be good with a gun belt and associated hardware. The belt loops are too few, too narrow, and too thin to support that kind of weight. Combine that with zero reinforcement in the waistband, and just a G43 in a simple belt slide holster sagged way too much. I like these but please go back to the drawing board with these; there’s a real need out here for tac pants that don’t look like our dads’ military BDU’s.
Fit is excellent for me. These pants are extremely comfortable. I would love a a watch pocket like the Men's UA Storm Covert Tactical Pants. My Pixel 3 fits fine in the zippered pocket on the leg. Front and rear pockets the right depth. I've not had a problem with wrinkles and are easy to maintain. Definitely recommend.
Under Armor did a great job with these pants. They a light weight, breathable, have stretch to them, and are fairly durable. My only complaint is the zippered pocket, and the zippered fly. The zippered pocket is just barely large enough for my phone. I wish they had made the pocket just a bit larger, or even added another one on the other leg. Also, the zippered fly keeps coming undone. I would say it could be my glorious belly, but the waist fits great, so I dont think that is the case. I do have a few tares in them, the knee, and both left and right back pockets. That may be because I skydive in the pants and sometimes have to slide in my landings. Anyways, all in all, they did a pretty good job with the pants. Excellent for spring weather!
